Pinoy K-Pop lovers rejoice! Korean Wave or Hallyu is definitely sweeping across the country like storm.
And the K-Pop fever in Manila is expected to reach a feverish 38°C as Korea’s hottest idol Kim Hyun Joong is coming to Manila together with Korean boy group BEAST for a concert titled “K-Pop Meets P-Pop: Kim Hyun Joong and Beast Live in Manila” at the Araneta Coliseum on June 19, 7pm.
Kim Hyun Joong is famous in the Philippines for his role as Yoon Ji Hoo, the calm and charismatic gentleman of F4, in the hit Korean drama series "Boys Over Flowers." BEAST is one of the most prominent Korean boy groups that captured the hearts of fans with their oozing talents and chart-topping hits.
Kim Hyun Joong is also active in his singing career as the leader of SS501 which debuted in Korea in 2005. Their songs such as "Snow Prince," "Fighter," "Déjà Vu," "A Song Calling For You" and "Love Like This" received so much love and support from their fans both in Korea and abroad.
In fact, despite language barriers, Filipinos love to sing their songs "Because I’m Stupid" and "Making A Lover" which are included in the "Boys Over Flowers" OST. Major Philippine news source The Manila Bulletin has reported that Super Junior are set to hold a concert in the Philippines as part of their “Super Show 2″.
According to The Manila Bulletin, PULP Live Productions has confirmed that Super Junior are indeed performing in Manila – dates in China, Taiwan and Malaysia have apparently already been confirmed. There is no word yet on whether or not Han Kyung or Kibum will be attending.
Unlike SHINee who performed at the Cultural Center of the Philippines late last year, Super Junior will be performing at the Araneta Coliseum which has a seating capacity of nearly 25,000 people - the largest in Southeast Asia. It is also popular for being the site of Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier’s Thrilla in Manila.
As of now, the exact date of the concert is April 10. There are no exact ticket prices yet but the highest price is apparently PhP 8,000 (Approx. USD 160)

Hold your breathe guys as the Korean super idol band called U-Kiss will soon be visiting Manila, Philippines this coming March 26, 27, and 28. After the successful mall shows of 4minute last month, I’m sure fangirls and fanboys will support their idols on this upcoming event. Premiere Entertainment Philippines Inc. (PEP) brings Korean “super idol band” U-Kissto Manila for the very first time for a series of special mall shows on March 26, 27, and 28. This is in line with the promotion of the band’s full-length, solo concert here in the country that will happen this June.
U-Kiss is composed of Alexander, Kevin, Dong Ho, Eli, Ki Bum, Hyun, and Ki Seob. The band debuted in Atamai, Japan at “The Second Power of Atamix ’08” and this paved the way form a successful solo show in Hamamatsucho, Japan. Since then,the band released 3 singles and their current full-length studio album “Without You” is rapidly climbing the charts of various Asian countries. U-Kiss is also given the Best New Artist award at the “Asian Song Festival” in 2008.
Members Kevin and Alexander are chosen as VJs for Arirang’s “Pops in Seoul” while Dong Ho is currently a member of the “Unrivalled Baseball Team.”
PEP chairman Joong Ku says that U-Kiss is the first of the many Korean stars that his company will bring to the Philippines. PEP is currently under negotiations in bringing Big Bang, Wonder Girls, and 2NE1 to the country.

After the successful mall shows of 4minute last month, I’m sure fangirls and fanboys will support their idols on this upcoming event. Premiere Entertainment Philippines Inc. (PEP) brings Korean “super idol band” U-Kissto Manila for the very first time for a series of special mall shows on March 26, 27, and 28. This is in line with the promotion of the band’s full-length, solo concert here in the country that will happen this June.
U-Kiss is composed of Alexander, Kevin, Dong Ho, Eli, Ki Bum, Hyun, and Ki Seob. The band debuted in Atamai, Japan at “The Second Power of Atamix ’08” and this paved the way form a successful solo show in Hamamatsucho, Japan. Since then,the band released 3 singles and their current full-length studio album “Without You” is rapidly climbing the charts of various Asian countries. U-Kiss is also given the Best New Artist award at the “Asian Song Festival” in 2008.
Members Kevin and Alexander are chosen as VJs for Arirang’s “Pops in Seoul” while Dong Ho is currently a member of the “Unrivalled Baseball Team.”
PEP chairman Joong Ku says that U-Kiss is the first of the many Korean stars that his company will bring to the Philippines. PEP is currently under negotiations in bringing Big Bang, Wonder Girls, and 2NE1 to the country.
PEP will also collaborate with local film and TV productions in strengthening the cultural and artistic interaction between Korea and thePhilippines.
i read an article few days ago about F.T Island, a Korean Male Group having their 2010 Asia Tour and Philippines was one of the countries they were going to visit. Pinoy Primadonna’s must be excited to hear this.

FT Island will give their fans a New Year gift as the boys will pay a visit to their fans via their ASIA Tour. In 2 months period of January until February the boys will start touring in Asia. They will start from Japan, Thailand,Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines and Singapore.
Much anticipation it is since a report came and stated that FT Island concert tickets in Taiwan (with 3000 seats) are sold out!
According to FT Island company F & C Music, “One of the reason of the good respond (sold out ticket) is also be affected by Lee HongKi�s recent drama �You�re Beautiful�. And this is such a good start for FT Island�s ASIA Tour!�
FT Island will hold a show in Tokyo on December 23rd. And, for their next year Asia Tour, they will start their tour by performing again in Tokyo-Japan on January 20, 2010, then continues to Bangkok-Thailand on February 6, whilst on February 27 they will do their Taiwan�s Concert. As for Hong Kong and Philippines (held in Manila) schedule is said to be held on February as well.

The boys of FT Island have been quite busy the past few months traveling to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and Thailand. Currently, the boys are in the Philippines for the FT Island Manila 2010 Showcase.
